Peppa Pig Theme Park in North Richland Hills: A Year On

Around DFW · 3 min read · By the American Eagle Builders team

The Peppa Pig Theme Park is a small theme park for preschool-age children that opened on March 1, 2025, on Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills. Its first year has been documented, but its effects on nearby streets and home values have not been measured publicly.

The short answer

  • The Peppa Pig Theme Park opened on March 1, 2025, on Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills.
  • The park marked its first birthday in early 2026 and announced summer and Halloween events.
  • No published measurement of traffic or home value changes nearby has turned up.
  • Replace windows when they fail, not because a family attraction opened nearby.
  • Check the North Richland Hills permit office before you build anything new.

The park has now been open for more than a year, so it is possible to look at what happened rather than guess. As of November 1, 2026, here is what is confirmed, what is not, and what a nearby homeowner can reasonably do. Peppa Pig is a trademark of its owners, and this page describes the park factually.

What is the Peppa Pig Theme Park in North Richland Hills?

It is a small theme park for young children, based on the Peppa Pig cartoon and run by Merlin Entertainments. It opened on March 1, 2025, at 8851 Boulevard 26, on the same stretch as the NRH2O Family Water Park. FOX 4 reported that it was aimed at children six and under.

The park’s opening-day coverage listed five rides, including Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster and Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride, plus nine play areas such as a splash pad, a treehouse and a pirate sand-play area. Several rides ask riders under a set height to go with an adult, so check the park’s rules before you plan a visit.

What has happened at the park since it opened?

It has kept running. Amusement Today reported a first-birthday celebration that began on February 27, 2026, with events over two weekends. The park also announced a new character meet-and-greet for summer 2026 and new summer and Halloween events. FOX 4 reported that USA Today had named it a Top 10 Best New Attraction.

Current hours, the summer and Halloween schedules and any changes to the ride lineup are not fixed. Those details change by season, so check the park directly. NRH2O’s website, which was promoting 2027 season passes in early November, covers the separate water park next door.

Did the park change traffic or home values nearby?

No published measurement of either has turned up. Before the park opened, forecasts predicted congestion on Loop 820, Precinct Line Road and Boulevard 26 and rising demand for nearby homes. Predictions are not findings, so treat them with care.

North Richland Hills is a post-war suburb of northeast Tarrant County that is essentially built out, with housing from the 1960s through the 1990s. The ground rolls and drains toward the Big Fossil Creek system. A home’s value there depends on its condition, its lot and its street, and one family attraction is only a small part of it. Our post on the Christmas in Color light show at NRH2O looks at another draw on the same road.

What should you check if you live near a family attraction?

Look at your own street before you spend money. Busy days differ from quiet ones, and what you notice in July may not match what you see in March.

  • Watch parking on your street on weekends and holidays, and ask the city whether limits apply.
  • Note when noise reaches your yard, and at what time of day.
  • Check your house’s weak points, such as old windows or a door that does not seal.
  • Talk to neighbors before you decide that anything has changed.

We would not replace windows only because a theme park opened nearby. Replace them when they fail. Our post on signs to replace your home windows explains how to tell, and our windows page lists the Andersen window series available. A new window can reduce outside noise somewhat, but results depend on the window and the install.

If you add shade for a backyard where kids play, a patio cover is one option. Check with the city of North Richland Hills first, since a new structure may need a permit. Its Building Inspections and Permits office can tell you, and the answer in Arlington or Fort Worth may differ. Questions we get asked about this

It opened on March 1, 2025, at 8851 Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills. Earlier plans pointed to 2024, and the opening date was announced in October 2024. Merlin Entertainments runs the park. Check the park directly for current hours and any seasonal schedule.

FOX 4 reported that it is designed for children six and under, and parents can ride and play alongside them. Some rides have height limits and require an adult for shorter riders. Check the park’s own rules before you go, because requirements can change.

No published measurement of either has turned up. Before the park opened, forecasts predicted more traffic and higher demand nearby, but those were predictions. Home values depend on the home, its lot and the whole market. Do not remodel in the hope of a boost from one attraction.

Opening-day coverage listed five rides, including Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster and Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride, and nine play areas such as a splash pad, a treehouse and a pirate sand-play area. Rides have height and adult-accompaniment rules, so check the park’s own rules before you plan a visit.

It may be required, depending on the work. Rules differ by city, so check with the City of North Richland Hills Building Inspections and Permits office before any structure goes up. We link the city’s page rather than stating thresholds, because they can change.
