Windows, Siding, Doors and Insulation

The work American Eagle Builders built its name on since 1984. Replacing windows and siding at the same time lets the flashing tie together properly, and one company stands behind all of it.

Four Ways to Improve the House Itself

Each of these is its own trade with its own crew. What they share is the standard: measured twice, sealed properly, and finished the way we would want on our own homes.

Replacement Windows Built for Texas Heat

Windows

Window Series

Custom-measured, professionally installed windows that cut cooling costs, quiet the road outside and make the whole house look newer. We carry the full Andersen line and fit every opening to size. American Eagle Builders is a certified Andersen contractor for windows and doors.

Replacement Siding That Handles Texas Weather

Siding

Siding Options

Replacement siding (insulated vinyl, standard vinyl and Hardie fiber cement) installed on homes across Dallas–Fort Worth. For houses where hail, sun and hundred-degree summers have worn the exterior, it holds its color, seals the envelope and changes how the house reads from the street.

  • Insulated Siding
  • Non-Insulated Siding
  • Hardie Siding
Entry, Patio and Storm Doors Built to Last

Doors

Door Types

Entry, sliding, hinged patio and storm doors, replaced with the framing and trim work done properly. For homeowners who want a better first impression and a tight seal at the last weak point in the envelope.

  • Front Entry Doors
  • Sliding Patio Glass Doors
  • Hinged Patio Doors
  • Storm Doors
Attic Insulation for a Cooler House

Insulation

Insulation Types

Attic insulation (blown-in, spray foam and radiant barrier) for Dallas–Fort Worth homes that run hot upstairs in August or cold in a freeze. A well-insulated house holds its temperature instead of chasing it, and the bill drops as a side effect.

  • Spray Foam Insulation
  • Blow-In Attic Insulation
  • Radiant Barrier / Liquid Foil

Before You Start an Exterior Project

  • Do windows and siding together when you can. Replacing both at once lets the window flashing tie properly into the new wall wrap, instead of patching around one or the other.
  • Start where the bill is. Attic insulation is often the quickest payback; windows, doors and siding are longer-term changes to comfort and curb appeal.
  • Keep one color story. Siding, trim, window frames and doors chosen together read as one house rather than a series of separate projects.

How an Exterior Project Runs

  1. 1

    A free measure and estimate

We measure every opening and wall on the house, talk through the options for each, and give you a firm written price.

  2. 2

    Ordered to your house

Windows and doors are built to those measurements and siding is ordered for your walls, so nothing is forced to fit on install day.

  3. 3

One crew, in the right order

Windows go in before the siding wraps around them, so the flashing ties together instead of being patched around.

  4. 4

    Walkthrough and warranty

We walk the finished house with you, settle the punch list and leave one warranty covering the work.

Home Exteriors: common questions

Fibrex is Andersen’s composite: reclaimed wood fiber bound in polymer. It holds its shape in Texas heat better than vinyl, which softens and can bow on a wide west-facing opening, and it lets the frame be narrower for the same strength, so you get more glass and less frame.

The 400 Series is wood inside, vinyl-clad outside: you get a paintable or stainable interior that matches trim, with a weatherproof exterior that never needs painting. In DFW the cladding is doing the real work, and the wood stays on the conditioned, indoor side.

If your priority is comfort and energy performance, insulated. If it’s the lowest cost route to a new exterior, non-insulated vinyl. Hardie fiber cement is the premium, most durable option. We’ll show you samples against your brick on site.

Decide how much light you want against how much privacy, then whether sidelights or a transom suit the front of the house. We bring samples so you can see them against your brick and trim.

Sliding if floor space is tight, since nothing swings into the room. Hinged for a wider clear opening and a more traditional look. Both seal better than a tired original.

Spray foam seals air leaks as it insulates, so it’s best when the attic is leaky. Blow-in is the practical way to top up an under-insulated attic. We’ll tell you which one pays back faster for your house.
