What comes with our E-Series Windows

Fully Custom

Every E-Series window is built to your measurements and your color, with an aluminum-clad exterior and a choice of interior wood species. That is what lets it fill an opening no standard size fits.

The E-Series is the top step of the Andersen range we install. The 100 Series is the value composite window, the 400 Series adds a wood interior, and the A-Series adds architectural styling. The E-Series is built to your size and color, so it is the choice for large feature walls, unusual shapes and custom colors.

  • Aluminum-clad exterior in a very wide color range
  • Multiple interior wood species available
  • Built to size for large or unusual openings

Installing and caring for E-Series Windows

It suits custom homes, big additions and remodels where a standard size will not fit the opening or where the window is the centerpiece of the room. For a straightforward whole-house replacement, a lower series is often the better value.

E-Series installs often involve bigger openings than a typical replacement. A large feature window or a wide unit may need more hands to set, a check of the header above it, and more attention to flashing, because a big opening moves more on Blackland clay. We remove the old unit, check the opening, set, shim and flash the new one, then finish the trim.

E-Series pricing is driven by size, shape and color, all of which are built to order. A custom color match, an arched or angled top, a large unit or a particular interior wood species each adds cost. Structural work around an enlarged opening is priced separately.

E-Series Windows: common questions

On big openings and custom shapes. E-Series is engineered to size rather than picked from a catalog, so it suits a wide slider, an arched top or a color that has to match an existing window. It is the one we recommend when nothing standard fits the opening.

On average our installation teams complete window installations within 2 to 4 days once your windows arrive. Custom-built windows take time to manufacture after measuring.

Customers regularly report noticeably lower summer cooling costs and a quieter house. Savings depend on what you’re replacing. Single-pane aluminum windows show the biggest change.

Yes. Where your city requires one, we file it and deal with the inspection.

The aluminum cladding carries a factory finish and shrugs off heat and rain without needing paint. Wash it occasionally and keep the weep holes clear.

Before You Commit to E-Series Windows

  • Bring the exact color. If the goal is to match an existing window, a door or a trim color, bring a sample. E-Series is where that match can be made.
  • Have the opening checked before ordering. Large and unusual shapes are built to measured size, so the opening is checked for structure and flashing before anything is ordered.
  • Plan access for big glass. Large units need more hands and room to move, so the path from the driveway to the opening is part of the plan.

How does an E-Series window project run?

  1. 1

    A free measure and estimate

Every opening is measured individually, because a house rarely has two identical ones. You see the series options side by side and get a firm written estimate.

  2. 2

    Built to your openings

Andersen builds the units to those measurements, so the installers are not shimming a stock size into a hole it does not fit.

  3. 3

    Installed and sealed

Our own crews set, flash and seal each unit, then trim inside and out.

  4. 4

    Walkthrough and warranty

We check operation and locks on every window with you, clean up, and hand over the manufacturer warranty alongside ours on the installation.
